Christian Teachings In A Changing World

The Christian school must have a board, an administration, a faculty, and staff who are committed followers of Christ, teaching and leading from a biblically integrated perspective. Those engaged with the school’s governance, leadership, and teaching will:

  • Model Christ in their teachings and leading

  • Understand and focus on achieving the school’s vision and expected outcomes

  • Reflect and support the school’s mission and core values.

Upper Room Ministries Christian Academy is committed to developing programs and strategies with the context of biblical principles and with the understanding that the longer a student is with us the greater his/her outcome. The expected outcomes that will occur in the lives of the students we serve are that they will be graduates with a Biblical worldview, who:

  • Are well prepared in all academic disciplines, and are skilled in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and thinking;

  • Are proficient in mathematics and science; have knowledge and understanding of people, events, and movements in history and the cultures of other peoples and places;

  • Appreciate literature and the arts and understand how they express and shape their beliefs and values;

  • Have a critical appreciation of languages and cultures of other peoples, dispelling prejudice, promoting inter-ethnic harmony, and encouraging biblical hospitality for the ―alien‖ or ―stranger‖;

  • Have the skills to question, solve problems, and make wise decisions;

  • Understand the worth of every human being as created in the image of God; and so much more.
